Nabil Abdulrashid is a dynamic force in the comedy scene, known for his unique style and captivating stage presence. As a sought-after comedian both in the UK and internationally, Nabil's comedy career is rich, varied, and undeniably impressive. Nabil's journey in comedy began with an impressive start. Within a year of his debut, he had written, starred in, and directed his own sketch show on Channel U. His early success continued as he became the joint winner of the 'Which Religion Is Funniest?' competition, judged by UK comedy legends Omid Djalili and David Baddiel. Triumphing over a host of more experienced comedians, Nabil won the opportunity to perform at London’s prestigious Hammersmith Apollo, setting a record as the youngest ever black stand-up comedian to grace its stage. Nabil's comedic prowess has also seen him emerge as a finalist in the renowned New Act Of The Year and Laughing Horse stand-up comedy competitions. In 2020, he added yet another feather to his cap by winning Joe.co.uk’s TV Comedian of the Year award, a testament to his exceptional talent and comedic ingenuity. As a practising Muslim, Nabil's comedy often incorporates themes of faith and identity, providing a fresh lens through which audiences can view the world. This unique perspective led him to be featured as a ‘pilgrim’ on BBC Two’s faith-based show 'Pilgrimage'. Nabil's flourishing TV career includes noteworthy appearances on several popular shows.
