About JK Comedy Club

JK Comedy Club is a live stand-up comedy venue in central London, founded in 2022. The club operates across three locations — Soho (6 Moor St, W1D 5NA), Covent Garden (Upstairs of The Nell of Old Drury, 29 Catherine St, WC2B 5JS), and Leicester Square (Upstairs at Grosvenor Casino, Coventry St, W1D 6BL) — with shows running six nights a week, Tuesday through Sunday. Tickets start at just £7, making us one of the most affordable professional comedy venues in central London.

Our Story

JK Comedy Club was founded by local London comedians in 2022 because we wanted one simple thing: actually funny comedy at a good price in central London. Too many comedy nights in the city were either overpriced, inconsistent, or just not that funny. We knew we could do better.

Our focus from day one has been on the audience experience — making sure every person who walks through the door has a genuine laugh in a friendly, comfortable environment with nice staff and good drinks. That's it. No gimmicks, no overpriced tickets, no comedy by numbers. Just a room full of people having a great time.

We started with one venue in Soho and grew to three within two years. Today we run shows six nights a week with a roster of over 1,600 comedians, from newcomers trying fresh material to established acts you've seen on TV. Every show is organised by a different comedian from our team, which keeps the lineups fresh and the atmosphere electric.

Because we're comedians ourselves, we know what makes a great show: a good room, an engaged audience, and acts who actually want to be on stage. We handpick our venues for their atmosphere — intimate basements, upstairs rooms with character, and historic buildings with stories of their own. Our lineups feature acts who have appeared on Live at the Apollo, Taskmaster, Mock the Week, Netflix specials, and Comedy Central, alongside rising talent and new voices in British comedy.

Every night is different. Midweek shows feature fresh material nights where comedians try out new jokes in an intimate setting. Weekend shows bring headline acts and high-energy performances. Our Venues

All three of our venues are in the heart of central London, within walking distance of Leicester Square, Covent Garden, and Piccadilly Circus tube stations. The rooms are intimate — under 150 capacity — so the stage is just a few feet from the front row, making for an electric atmosphere where every joke lands.

Our Soho venue is downstairs in The Spice of Life, a pub with a tavern on site since 1750. The Covent Garden venue is upstairs in The Nell of Old Drury, an inn since 1423. The Leicester Square venue is in a Grade II listed building originally opened in 1913 as the Rialto cinema.
