Eshaan Akbar, a stand-out talent in the world of comedy, embarked on a comedic journey in 2014. Starting with humble five-minute sets at open mic nights, his natural flair quickly propelled him to the finals of the So You Think You’re Funny competition and Laughing Horse in the same year. His unique comedic style and engaging presence have seen him support acclaimed comedians such as Micky Flanagan, Dane Baptiste, Hal Cruttenden, and Jason Manford, to name a few. Eshaan's distinct humour has not only charmed the stage but also marked its presence on television, with notable appearances on shows like Live At The Apollo, Mock the Week, and QI. Beyond his TV appearances, Eshaan has also contributed to shows like Frankie Boyle’s New World Order and has lent his voice to popular podcasts like Shame is Delicious and the award-winning Nine Twenty Nine. His commitment extends beyond comedy, as he also serves as a celebrity ambassador for Action on Hearing Loss. Eshaan has showcased his talent at the Edinburgh Fringe, performing three sell-out shows – ‘Not for Prophet’ (2017), ‘Prophet Like it’s Hot’ (2018), and ‘Infidel-ity’ (2019). Each of these shows also enjoyed sell-out London transfers at the Soho Theatre. Soon, fans will have a chance to see Eshaan's engaging wit and charm on the small screen as he is set to appear in Season Four of Netflix’s hit series, Sex Education.
